My Future Profession (Artist)

Artists

Art is one of the best ways to express what we see around us. People have always tried to express themselves in different ways: through writing novels, poems and songs, through creating hand-made items and paintings. There are many art works by famous artists which are visually attractive. Most of them are kept at the Louvre, the Hermitage, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Tretyakov Gallery, the British Museum and some other world-famous museums. Some works cost a fortune. For example, Paul Cezanne’s painting “The Card Players” costs more than 200 millions of US dollars. However, my favourite artist is William Turner. He is a well-known English painter, who mostly created romantic landscapes. He was only 12 years old when he started drawing. His childish sketches are still preserved in the British Museum. At the age 21 he began exhibiting his works at the Royal Academy. Most of those works were water-colours and oil paintings. Turner was a real traveler. He visited France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, but he never lost interest in his own country. As a landscaper, he was mainly interested in light and colour effects. One of his famous paintings is even called “Light and Colour”. All his works are highly praised by critics. Turner died in London in 1851. His paintings are considered to be the property of the British nation. Among Russian artists I especially admire Ilya Repin and Valentin Serov. They are both considered to be outstanding Russian masters of art. Ilya Repin was mostly interested in historical and political events of his motherland, which he expressed in the paintings. He created the portraits of some outstanding figures, among them Tolstoy, Mussorgsky, Pirogov. Valentin Serov also painted some famous people, including Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Isaac Levitan, Sawa Mamontov. His most famous works “The Girl with Peaches” and “The Girl in the Sunlight” can be seen in the Tretyakov Gallery.

2) The world of "Design"

The world of "Design" is the studying Design penetrates into spheres of human life and activity. It has an overarching impact on the wider population. As far mass and strength of the aesthetic impact, it could be compared with film and television, but in some case it overcome them. To go to the movies, you need to find time and to buy a ticket. You must buy a TV and find entertainment. To become a viewer to undergo aesthetic impact of design, it is enough to be our contemporary. To avoid the impact of design, even putting such goal it is impossible because no one can jump out of a cultural era items. It is impassive to be without its attributes, without furniture, kitchenware, transportation, books and so on. And this is - the creation of design. Everything has the stamp of a certain style. The influence of a style into the human mind in particular way is deep and direct. That`s why design is a single node of the material and aesthetic life of a man. It is the place of their meeting, and the intersection.

Art

There many arts in the world, but the most popular are: literature, music, theatre, cinema and others. Every person has his or her own favorite art.
Music has always fascinated people. It touches their hearts and makes them laugh or cry. Music can be heard everywhere. Nowadays there are a lot of musical genres: classical music, rock music, pop music, club music and others. I can listen to any genre of music. It depends on my mood. When I am sad I listen to classical music. When I am happy I like listening to energetic, fast music and hard beat. However, some people listen to one kind of music only and they listen to it no matter what mood they are in.
There are a lot of wonderful works of literature-Famous writers and poets created a big variety of poems, stories and novels that are read over the world. Russian poets and writers like Pushkin, Tolstoy and Dostoevsky are famous all over the world. Their works are translated into many languages.
Theatre is a popular kind of arts, too. There are a lot of theatres in Russia, but most of them are situated in Moscow. The Bolshoi Theatre and the Maly Theatre are world famous. If you like opera you should go to the Bolshoi Theatre. The tickets are rather expensive though. The Maly Theatre stages dramas and plays based on classical novels.
I am a theatre-goer. I prefer going to drama theatres. I do not like opera and ballet. Not long ago I saw Uncle's Dream by Dostoevsky in the Vakhtangov Theatre I liked the play a lot. The decorations were rich and the famous actors played very well. There was a storm of applause after the performance.
Nowadays theatres are becoming less and less popular, and cinema has got big popularity instead. There are a lot of cinemas in Moscow: modern and old-fashioned, cheap and expensive. Modern films are full of audio and computer special effects and people go to the cinema to enjoy them. The so-called home cinemas have appeared lately. More and more people buy modern TV-sets with large flat screens and special sound equipment and watch films at home.
My favorite art is painting. I enjoy going to art galleries to look at paintings. I think that this type of art will exist forever. Artists express their feelings and emotions in their paintings. There are a lot of art galleries in Moscow, but the most famous one is me Tretyakov Gallery. It has large collections of paintings by Russian and foreign painters. My favorite painting is landscape. I think that Russian landscapists are the best in the world. I love going to this gallery when I have free time. One of my friends draws very well she is going to enter the University of Arts to become a professional artist. But I think that amateurs are the best artists.
Unfortunately I do not have any talent for this or that art. I used to sing in childhood, but then I gave it up. I think that arts are not for me.

What is graphic design?

Graphic design, also known as communication design, is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. The form of the communication can be physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphic forms. The experience can take place in an instant or over a long period of time. The work can happen at any scale, from the design of a single postage stamp to a national postal signage system, or from a company’s digital avatar to the sprawling and interlinked digital and physical content of an international newspaper. It can also be for any purpose, whether commercial, educational, cultural, or political.

Design that’s meant to be experienced in an instant is the easiest to recognize and has been around the longest. For over a hundred years, designers have arranged type, form, and image on posters, advertisements, packages, and other printed matter, as well as information visualizations and graphics for newspapers and magazines. Motion graphics are equally predetermined and crafted, but are meant to be experienced over a fixed time span, such as for the opening credits of a movie or an online video meant to accompany a newspaper article.

The design of books and magazines also has a long history. Whether physical or digital, these are objects that are meant to be enjoyed over time, during which the reader has control over the pace and sequence of the experience. In books, the content usually comes before the design, while in magazines, the design is a structure that anticipates written and visual content that hasn’t yet been created. Some commercial websites or exhibition catalogues also fit in this category, as do digital or physical museum displays that show information that doesn’t change. All have fixed content, but the user or reader determines their own path through the material.

Many designers also produce systems that are meant to be experienced over time, but aren’t confined to the making of objects. Wayfinding, which is a form of environmental graphics, refers to the branding and signage applied throughout and on buildings. While each sign or symbol in a public or private building is a work of design, they’re all part of a larger system within the building. The design of the system—the relationships between all of those parts—is where the designer brings value. Similarly, while all of the artifacts of a commercial or institutional brand, such as a business card, sign, logo, or an advertisement are individual expressions of design, how those are experienced together and over time is the design work. No part of it has been created without considering the others, or without thinking through how a target customer will encounter and then develop a relationship with that brand.

Designers are also responsible for interactive designs where the content is fluid, sometimes changing minute to minute, as well as interfaces that help users navigate through complex digital experiences. This work differentiates itself by adding another element: responding to the actions of the viewer. Editorial design for web and mobile is the most tangible example of content-driven work in this area, including publication websites, mobile apps, and blogs. Some design involves the presentation of streaming information, also known as data visualization. Other designers work on digital products, which are digital services or platforms that can be brought to market. Product design for web and mobile is related to software design. Sometimes different designers work on the user interface design (UI), which mostly refers to the individual layouts of pages, and the user experience design (UX), or the total experience of the user as they move through a website or app.

Type design carries aspects of almost all of these things. While the form of a single letter has meaning, a typeface, like a brand, is also composed of the relationships between characters that work together to create meaning. And like software, typefaces are licensed and can be installed on individual computers.

Depending on the scale of the context in which a designer works, the work may include one, some, or all of these things in the course of a year. Larger companies, agencies, teams, or studios may lean towards specialization, while smaller studios and groups may need to have each individual capable, if not an expert, in multiple areas.

Interior design industry design aimed at interior spaces with the aim to provide convenience and aesthetically pleasing environment interaction with people. Interior decorating combines artistic and industrial design. The designer performs the optimization of work indoor, to improve the navigation of large spaces, develops the design of special facilities (e.g. recording studios, film editing, photography; water parks) according to customers ' requirements. Designer manages the entire process of interior design, from space planning, lighting, ventilation, acoustics; the walls; and finishing with furniture placement and installation of navigation marks.

The development of interior design begins with drawing up a design project — a set of documents describing functional and design solutions, they contain drawings of the premises and descriptions of all details of the future interior, including finishing materials and the location of utilities. The project has a technical specification which describes all the requirements and wishes of the customer.

First produced measurements of the room, then developed a rough planning concepts and sketches. At this stage, the designer offers the customer several options plan with the distribution of the main functional areas and placement of furniture. Since 3D modeling is labor-intensive process, at the stage of rough planning detailed three-dimensional models are developed only after consultation with the customer.

After approval of the location of zones developed design drawings of electrical wires and plan the location of electrical devices (lighting, electric heating and so on); if they are necessary, drawings of the changes in the plan; ceiling plan and flooring, placement of sanitary equipment, statements containing information about finishing and ordered materials and pieces of furniture and decor.

The next step is to implement the planned activities; at this stage, the designer supervises the work of finishing and repair crews, providing customers with the required documentation.

My Future Profession (Artist)

“What should I choose as my future profession?” – this is a question that every young person asks himself entering the adult world. Of course, it’s not an easy thing to choose a profession out of more than 2,000 existing in the world. It’s especially difficult if you like doing different things, if you have different hobbies and interests.

Almost half of a person’s life passes at work. So it’s extremely important to make the right choice of a profession. Psychologists believe that the choice of a future profession must be in accordance with the individual’s talents and abilities. In order to make the right choice you have to analyze your interests and abilities and try to understand what you’d like to achieve in your life.

For example, I like biology. I adore animals, plants, insects, and all forms of life. I spend many hours reading books about wild nature, characters and habits of animals, underwater life etc. I believe that nature is so mysterious and powerful, that it’s natural to admire it and to devote all your life to its exploration.

But it’s not my only hobby. Most of all I like painting and I want to be an artist. As a child, I began to draw everything I saw around myself. I drew my parents, my friends, my kitten, flowers and other things. Then I entered art school and began to study painting.

I think that modern life open new horizons for artists and they can work in many fields today. Many artists work as designers for advertising agencies or for web design studios. Yes, there are many designers who draw with computer programs like Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, but the skill of drawing by hand is highly appreciated in many design studios. Besides, such job demands not only computer knowledge, but also creative thinking of an artist.

So I look in my future with optimism and hope to become an artist.
