Taco: How deep do you think the water is, Maxie?
Maxie: I don’t know, but I think it’s too deep to swim in.
Taco: I’ve always wanted to see what it’s like underwater.
Maxie: Not me! I don’t like the water.
Taco: Hey, Maxie! I have a great idea!
Maxie: What is it, Taco?
Taco: Let’s go for a swim!
Maxie: Are you crazy? We’re in the middle of the ocean!
Taco: I know. We can just take a quick swim and come back to the ship. Please? Please?
Maxie: I suppose just a short swim.
Taco: Maxie! It’s beautiful!
Maxie: Look at those pretty looking things! What are they?
Taco: I don’t know.
Maxie: Hee-hee. That tickles!
Taco: Why are they going away?
Maxie: I don’t know.
Taco: Maybe they don’t like us.

Magic Marker 62: The Storm
Shark: Hmm. . . I’ve never eaten anything like you before.
Taco: Please, sir, you wouldn’t want to eat us. We’re not very tasty.
Shark: Oh, I think you’ll be very tasty. Very tasty indeed. . .
Maxie: What’s that noise?
Shark: Wait a minute. . . Yes! There’s a storm coming. Today is your lucky day!

Shark: That’s right. A huge one is coming this way. I have to find a hiding place. If I were you, I’d hide too.

Taco: Something is not right. I don’t remember any of these things.
Maxie: Me, neither. Where are all the people?
Taco: I don’t know! I think we are on a different ship!
Maxie: I think you’re right! Oh no! Where is this ship going?
Taco: It’s okay, Maxie. Don’t cry. We’ll find our way home somehow.
Maxie: I’m not crying. I thought it was you.
Taco: If it’s not me and it’s not you. . . then who’s crying?
Voice: ME!
Maxie and Taco: YIKES!
Panda: Don’t go! Please! I’m so lonely!
Maxie: Are you by yourself? Where are the other animals?
Panda: There aren’t any other animals. I’m all alone.
Taco: Don’t cry. We’ll be your friends. I’m Taco and this is Maxie.
Panda: I’m Lulu. It’s nice to meet you.
Maxie: We’ll stay with you. Please stop crying.
Lulu: I can’t! I’m so sad!
Maxie: Why are you sad?

Lulu: When I was in China, every night I would look outside at the stars and go to sleep. Now, I can’t see any stars. I’m so sad!
Taco: There, there. Please stop crying. If you can see some stars, will you be happy again?
Lulu: But I’m inside this cage and I’m inside this ship. How can I see the stars?
Maxie: Don’t worry. Just close your eyes.
Taco: Maxie! What are you planning to do? There’s a storm outside. She can’t see stars tonight!
Maxie: Taco, you should know better by now. Okay, Lulu, you can open your eyes now.
Lulu: Oh, look at the stars! It’s amazing! Just like in China!

Taco: Maxie, I think we should look around the ship now.

Lulu: But I’d love to see the ocean. I’d love to smell the fresh air. . .
Taco: Okay, okay! Don’t cry! Maxie! Let her come with us.
Maxie: As long as you are quiet and stay right next to me.
Lulu: I’m free! I’m free! I’m so happy!
Maxie and Taco: LULU! SSSHHHHHH!
Lulu: Just look at the ocean! It’s so grand!
Taco: Maxie! This is definitely another ship! We are on the wrong ship!
Maxie: There’s nothing we can do now, Taco. At least we are safe.
Lulu: Oh, look!
Taco: Land ahoy! Land ahoy!
Lulu: What does that mean?
Taco: It’s what sailors say when they see land. Land ahoy!
Lulu: Land ahoy!
Man 1: Gotcha! How did you escape!
Man 3: Where did the cat and bird come from?
Man 4: I don’t know. I thought we only had a panda bear.
Man 2: Oh well, let’s take them too.
Magic Marker 65: Where Are We?
Maxie: Taco! Taco! Can you hear me? Are you okay?
Taco: Maxie? What happened? Where are we?
Maxie: I don’t know. But I think we are on land. Are you okay?
Taco: Yes. Where is Lulu?
Man: Well, little kitty and birdie. The zoo only wants the panda. So I don’t know what to do with you. I found this when we caught you. Maybe I’ll keep it.
Taco: Maxie! That man! That man has your marker!
Maxie: I know, Taco! I know. We have to get it back!
Taco: But how?
Maxie: We have to think of a plan.
Taco: Maxie! The keys are sticking out!
Maxie: I see them, Taco. But how do I get them? Oh, here is a paper clip.
Taco: Great idea, Maxie! Now all you need is something to put it on!
Maxie: But what? There is nothing here.
Taco: I got it! Put that clip around your tail! I think it’ll reach the keys.
Maxie: My tail? But then I can’t see what I’m doing.
Taco: I’ll give you directions. It’s our only chance. Come on, Maxie! There’s no time to lose!
