ГРАММАТИЧЕСКИЙ МАТЕРИАЛ

1. Модальные глаголы can, may, must и их эквиваленты.

2. Неопределенные местоимения some, any, no, every и их прозводные.

3. Употребление местоимений many, much, little, few.

4. Местоимения one (ones), that (those) как заменители существительного.

5. Использование существительного в функции определения. Перевод его на русский язык.

ОФОРМЛЕНИЕ КОНТРОЛЬНОЙ РАБОТЫ

 

Студенты должны выполнить один из 2 вариантов контрольной работы в соответствии с последней цифрой номера зачетной книжки: 1,2,3,4,5 – 1 вариант, 6,7,8,9,0– 2 вариант.

Нумерация начинается с титульного листа, на котором она не проставляется.

Контрольную работу рекомендуется приносить в файле, скрепленную скрепкой, или в папке до начала сессии. Допускается и письменный, и печатный вариант с ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНЫМ прописыванием задания.

Перевод текста записывать по абзацам параллельно с самим текстом по образцу.

I. Прочитайте текст и письменно выполните задания.

1. Выпишите из текста, если имеются, предложения со словами that, one, it. Определите их грамматические функции, переведите на русский язык.

2. Выпишите из текста, если имеются, предложения со сказуемыми в пассивном залоге. Определите форму сказуемого, переведите предложения на русский язык.

3. Выпишите из текста, если имеются, по 3 предложения с глаголами to be, to have, to do. Определите функции глаголов, переведите предложения на русский язык.

4. Выпишите из текста, если имеются, по 2 предложения с простыми неличными формами глагола (инфинитивом, причастием, герундием). Определите функции неличных форм глагола, переведите предложения на русский язык.

5. Выпишите из текста, если имеются, предложения с бессоюзным подчинением в определительных и дополнительных придаточных предложениях. Переведите предложения на русский язык.

ECONOMICAL PROGRESS AND DEMOGRAPHY

1. Approximately half the Russian territory is economically well developed. The nearest task is to develop the other half in a planned manner, that is, the tundra in Siberia, the Far East. Much, has already been done in these lands. But no matter what projects are to be built manpower is always the No. 1 problem.

2. Manpower has to be invited from the more developed areas. Can the industrialized zone share a part of its manpower resources without harming its own development? Our society is vitally interested in making migration, which is necessary for developing new territories.

3. Our economy needs methods capable of making the interests of society and of sepa­rate individuals coincide to the utmost. Large sums are spent on attracting a worker to move and to settle at a new place of work. The securing of manpower resources for the development of a new area and the establishment of a permanent population in it are the main tasks of today.

4. The need to launch projects in harsh conditionscalls for special attention not only to the professional aspect, but also to the physical and moral qualities of the workers. This makes it necessary to place new demands on the selection of people who want to come to new construction sites. They should be judged by their physical and intellectual abilities, the ability to perform definite functions, capability to adapt to the new condi­tions of life and work, their psychological features, etc.

5. These demands are fulfilled best of all when the workers are transferred to the projects in an organized way within production collectives, formed earlier and having work experience. Russia’s experience proved that such an approach is effective. The stability of such collectives has a favourable influence not only on the activities of the enterprises themselves, but on the entire system of regional manpower resources.
