A. I make model planes. I’ve been doing it for about five years now and I think I am beginning to understand it. You usually make a lot of very bad models before you make a really good one. You learn from your own mistakes and practice makes perfect, as they say. It’s important not to give up; you must keep on trying until you get it right.

B. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you got a fish on the end of your line. I first went fishing with my uncle Derek when I was very young. I loved it from the start. It’s good to learn a new skill from someone whom you know well because you feel relaxed. He taught me the basics and I soon started going to the river alone or with my friends.
C. Karate – that’s my hobby. Some people think it can be dangerous but it’s not really. The biggest risk is hurting yourself because you are not fit enough to do it. It’s not a good idea to do karate if you are not in good shape. You should get some exercise and then take up karate. When you are ready to try it, it can become a really enjoyable hobby.
D. My hobby is walking in the country-side. There are lots or walks to go on in this area and you’ll always find someone to chat to. People are usually very friendly when they are out walking and we talk about the weather or the beautiful views. It’s interesting to hear about all the places they have been to.
E. Collecting stamps is great. It’s like travelling the world. I’ve got stamps from over a hundred different countries and some of them are actually quite valuable. I keep my collection in two big albums. Sometimes I sell stamps for more than I paid for them. This way I get some extra money to spend on more stamps.
F. I started painting about six months ago. I have only painted a couple of pictures so far but that doesn’t matter. I do it about two hours a day in the evening after work. It’s a great way to relax. I come home tired from work and after painting I feel totally refreshed again. It’s very creative too.
