Jack-o’-lantern

It’s a custom to scrape out a pumpkin, cutting out eyes, a nose and a mouth in it and lighting a candle inside to make

a jack-o’-lantern. It’s made to scare other people, usually friends or neighbours.

Mixing a pudding

They believe that if you take part in mixing the pudding on this day, you’ll be happy. Besides, if you choose the piece

of pudding with a hidden coin in it, you’ll make a fortune and will be rich.

 

Anonymous sentimental cards

There is a tradition to write and send sentimental heart-shaped cards on this day to your sweetheart. You can also send a
