Host 1: A valentine is an easy way to express your love and affection to your nearest and dearest. One of the girls have prepared a poem about it. It’s called “My Valentine” I have a little valentine That someone sent to me. It’s pink and white, And red and blue, And pretty as can be. Forget-me-nots Are round the edge And tiny roses too, And such a lively piece of lace, The very palest blue. And in the centre There’s a heart As red as red can be And on it’s written all in gold “To you with love from me! Host 2: Contest 9. It’s called “Valentines Word Search”. Each girl will get a special card. Your task is to find and circle the words that are given below. You can look for the words in all directions. Time – 2 minutes.
VALENTINES WORD SEARCH
Host 1: Before the last contest we offer you to listen to the poem about “True wishes”. This poem was written by a 13-year old girl. And of course, it’s also about love. I want a new life that’s easy on me I want a new soul that I can set free I want some wings to soar through the sky I want a new shoulder to use when I cry I want what’s best, though it might not be right I want to be strong, though not wanting to fight
I want to be loved, but only if it’s true I want a soft breeze to carry me to you. But getting these things is just too much to ask, And, achieving each one is too big of a task. So there’s only one wish that I hope will come true: That someday I’ll be together with you. (Sherry M. Winchell, age 13) Host 2: Contest 10. The last one. It’s “Love and friendship crossword”. Each girl will get a copy of it. Time – 2 minutes.
