introduction
| I’ve chosen photo number 1.
It’s great to look through my album and recall wonderful memories.
Have a look at this photo, Kate. It’s my favourite photo.
where and when the photo was taken
I took this photo last summer on the shore of the Indian Ocean. My family and I were spending a holiday there. We were happy and enjoyed our stay there very much. / We enjoyed the time we spent together. Unlike other hot days, it was a perfect fishing day.
what/who is in the photo
In the photo, in the foreground you can see two young fishermen, carrying freshly-caught fish from the ship to the shore. Saltwater fishing is men’s activity among the local population. They are wearing light clothes as that summer was extremely hot. In the background there is a beautiful expanse of the Indian Ocean.
what is happening
Younger fishermen are carrying the fishing net full of the day’s catch. The fishing net is tied to the stick for transfer of the catch. They are smiling, their faces are happy. They are definitely enjoying the moment.
why you keep the photo in your album
I keep this picture in my album because it shows young people I met on the shore of the Indian Ocean.
why you decided to show the picture to your friend
| I decided to show this picture to you, because you have never seen the Indian Ocean. Besides, I want to publish it on my Instagram page and I really want to know your opinion about this photo. Do you like it?
