River, The (26 dec 2014. Broadway. Starring: Hugh Jackman, Cush Jumbo, Laura Donnelly. Good capture overall with no washout, very little obstruction, and only a couple short dropouts. A couple scenes are a bit dark and hard to see. Sound is a bit low sometimes, and some occasionally shuffling, but you can hear everything. Quality: B+)

Beautiful HD capture of one of the most thrilling musicals out there. The cast is wonderful, such a great show and songs. Cast: Andy Karl, Margo Seibert, Terence Archie, Dakin Matthews, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Vince Oddo, Jennifer Mudge, Michelle Aravena, Kristin Piro, Jenny Lee Stern, Wallace Smith. Second to last performance before the show closed on Broadway. Very nice capture overall. First two and half minutes of act one are blacked out, as is about three minutes during Undefeated Man and The Fight, but the rest is complete. No obstruction except during The Fight when everyone leans forward. The heads are worked around fairly well. Filmed in 16: 9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. Quality: A-. 2DVD)

Sound is very good, video is detailed with good colors and very well captured, but the transfer or dubbing made it a bit unstable, but overall, it is very watchable)

Missing everything between the end of the bedroom scenes and the end of Planet Schmanet Janet. Generational loss, no zooms and lots of obstruction in the second act. Quality: B-)

A telecast of two thematically related one-act plays, " The Little Comedy" and " Summer Share. " " The Little Comedy, " taking place in turn-of-the-century Vienna, is about two wealthy and bored strangers who meet when they each pretend to be of the lower class. The second play is a contemporary story about two couples, who seem to be perfectly matched and share a summer house in the Hamptons)
