BLEEDING THE HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM (XP500)
EAS00135 CHK ADJ BLEEDING THE HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM (XP500) WARNING
И
Й
Bleed the hydraulic brake system when-ever:
М the system was disassembled. М a brake hose was loosened, disconnected or replaced. М the brake fluid level is very low. М brake operation is faulty. NOTE: П Be careful not to spill any brake fluid or allow the brake master cylinder reservoir to over-flow.
П When bleeding the hydraulic brake system, make sure that there is always enough brake fluid before applying the brake. Ignoring this precaution could allow air to enter the hydraulic brake system, considerably length-ening the bleeding procedure.
П If bleeding is difficult, it may be necessary to let the brake fluid settle for a few hours. Repeat the bleeding procedure when the tiny bubbles in the hose have disappeared.

g. Loosen the bleed screw.
NOTE: Loosening the bleed screw will release the pressure and cause the brake levers to contact the handlebar.
У Tighten the bleed screw and then release the brake lever.
У Repeat steps (e) to (h) until all of the air bubbles have disappeared from the brake fluid in the plastic hose. У Tighten the bleed screw to specification.

3 - 50 CHK BLEEDING THE BRAKE SYSTEM (XP500A) ADJ WARNING Bleed the ABS whenever:
П the system is disassembled. П a brake hose is loosened, disconnected or replaced. П the brake fluid level is very low. П brake operation is faulty. NOTE: РBe careful not to spill any brake fluid or allow the brake master cylinder reservoir to over-flow.
РWhen bleeding the ABS, make sure there is always enough brake fluid before applying the brake. Ignoring this precaution could allow air to enter the ABS, considerably lengthening the bleeding procedure.
РIf bleeding is difficult, it may be necessary to let the brake fluid settle for a few hours.
РRepeat the bleeding procedure when the tiny bubbles in the hose have disappeared.
