VOTER REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITIES IN BATTLEGROUND STATES
· Hispanic Camp Obama Colorado September 5th and 6th – This is our 4th Hispanic Camp Obama. We have trained over 400 Hispanic organizers.
· 10 mini-voter registration training and canvassing camps throughout the state targeting Hispanic voters.
· Hispanic Veterans Tour New Mexico and Colorado with Hispanic Members of Congress and Hispanic military members.
· Latina Women’s Tour in New Mexico with female Hispanic Members of Congress
RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS TO BATTLEGROUND STATES
· Our entire focus is on the four Hispanic battlegrounds of New Mexico, Nevada, Florida, and Colorado as well as other battleground states with emerging Hispanic populations (OH, PA, VA, IN, MO, GA)
· Through weekly emails (our listserve includes over 1, 500 people) and weekly conference call, we push people to travel to battleground states and utilize online Spanish phonebanking tool to make phone calls into Spanish speaking households
· Presentation at national conferences and events outlining our Latino four state strategy and encouraging people to travel to battleground states.
OVERVIEW OF GOTV PLAN FOR BATTLEGROUND STATES
· October 15th deployment of Latino Vote Staff to battleground states to offer assistance in executing the states GOTV plans– Carlos Odio to FL, Stephanie Valencia to NM, Temo TBD.

- Obama Jewish Community Leadership Committees (JCLCs) – we have established sixteen (16) JCLCs across the country with over 1800 members.
- Garnered the support of over 300 Rabbis for Obama.
- Senator Obama recently traveled to Israel, spoke at the annual AIPAC conference, and held a Jewish town hall in Boca Raton in May.
- Going forward, Senator Obama will hopefully speak to national Rabbis before the Jewish High Holidays on a conference call, meet with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (umbrella for all 50 organizations)
Plan for the next 60 days:
- The Obama Jewish Community Leadership Committees (JCLCs) have been established to serve as the base of support for persuasion surrogate events and for GOTV volunteers for door knocks and phone calls for next 60 days in the Jewish Community. We will also be working with field staff to arrange for Jewish supporters in border non battleground states to travel to battleground states for GOTV to Jewish areas. With 16 JCLCs already established with 1800 people, our goal is to double those numbers with over 30 JCLCs and over 3500 volunteers.
