MEALS

We may have our meals at home or at a restaurant (cafe). At the restaurant the waiter or waitress will bring you the menu to choose dishes. On the menu food is usually listed in groups. There are appetizers or hors-d’oeuvres (for example, sardines, small salads, melon), main courses or entré es, sandwiches, salads, drinks, desserts and à la carte.

Choosing a meal can be a problem sometimes because dishes are called unknown foreign names. Ask the waiter to help you.
