The Steblovs live in a new five-storied block of flats in Klenino. It is situated in a very beautiful place not far from the Moskva River. There’s a big supermarket on the ground floor and it’s very convenient to do everyday shopping.
The flat is on the third floor. The windows face south-west and the flat is very light. There are all modern conveniences such as central heating, electricity, cold and hot running water and a telephone. The flat is well-planned. There are three rooms in it: a living–room and two bedrooms. There is also a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony.
The hall is very nice. The walls are papered and the ceiling is white-washed. There is a stand with hooks for coats, hats and umbrellas in the corner.
The living room is the largest one. It is nicely furnished. There is a nice sideboard, a sofa and two armchairs. There is a TV set in the corner. The piano is on the right. There is a bookcase near it. We are fond of books and have plenty of them at home. A thick carpet on the floor and curtains on the window match the walls. Olga’s family usually spends free time in the living-room reading, talking or watching TV. They receive guests in the living-room too.
Olga’s parents’ bedroom is rather spacious. The walls are papered. There is a bed, a mirror-stand, two bedside tables in the room. There is also a built-in wardrobe there. It is very convenient to have it because it doesn’t occupy much space.
Olga’s room is the smallest in the flat. There is a bed, a wardrobe, several bookshelves, a computer and a carpet on the floor. The walls in the room are light and there are some modern pictures on them. Olga likes her room very much, but from time to time she changes it round. She quite often moves the bed and changes posters on the walls, then the room looks different.
The kitchen is rather large. There is a set of modern kitchen furniture, a gas-stove, a microwave oven and a refrigerator. In the kitchen the Steblovs cook, have meals and wash the dishes.
The bathroom is near the kitchen. Olga and her family keep toilet articles, have a bath and a shower in the bathroom.
